Information You Provide
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, password, and profile information such as skills, location, bio, and portfolio content. If you're a professional, we may also collect verification documents such as government-issued ID and proof of skill or certification.
Information Collected Automatically
When you use our platform, we automatically collect device information (browser type, operating system, IP address), usage data (pages visited, features used, time spent), and cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain session state and improve your experience.
Information from Third Parties
If you sign in via Google or another third-party provider, we receive basic profile information from that provider as permitted by your privacy settings with them.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: create and manage your account; match you with relevant professionals or projects; process payments and transactions; send you important service notifications and updates; improve our platform through analytics and research; prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; comply with legal obligations under Nigerian and applicable international law.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, which employs industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest). We implement access controls, monitoring, and regular security reviews. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is 100% secure, and we encourage you to use a strong password and keep your credentials private.
