1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using UNI-T (unitinnovative.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our platform. These terms apply to all users including clients, artisans, and freelancers. UNI-T reserves the right to update these terms at any time with notice provided via email or platform notification.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use UNI-T. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. UNI-T reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this requirement. Users must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration and keep their information current.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@unitinnovative.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. UNI-T is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to protect your login information. Each person may only maintain one active account unless expressly authorized by UNI-T.
4. Use of the Platform
UNI-T provides a marketplace connecting clients with artisans and freelancers. You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not: post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings; harass, abuse, or harm other users; attempt to circumvent our fee structure by conducting transactions off-platform; scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform without permission; use the platform to distribute spam or unsolicited communications; impersonate any person or entity.
5. Professional Listings & Verification
Professionals who list their services on UNI-T agree to provide accurate descriptions of their skills, experience, and pricing. UNI-T offers a verification program that includes identity and skill verification. Verified status does not constitute an endorsement by UNI-T. Clients are responsible for independently assessing the suitability of a professional for their needs. UNI-T is not a party to any agreement between clients and professionals.
6. Payments & Fees
UNI-T may charge service fees to facilitate transactions on the platform. Fee structures are displayed at the time of transaction and are subject to change with prior notice. All payments made through the platform are processed by our third-party payment providers. UNI-T does not store full payment card details. Refunds are subject to our Refund Policy and the agreement between client and professional. In case of disputes, UNI-T may mediate but is not obligated to provide refunds except where required by law.
7. Reviews & Ratings
UNI-T allows users to leave reviews and ratings after completing a transaction. Reviews must be honest, accurate, and based on your genuine experience. You may not post reviews that are defamatory, discriminatory, or designed to manipulate ratings. UNI-T reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines. Attempting to manipulate your rating or another user's rating through fake reviews is grounds for immediate account suspension.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the UNI-T platform — including logos, design, text, and software — is the property of UNI-T or its licensors and is protected by Nigerian and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission. By posting content on UNI-T (such as portfolio work, profile descriptions, or reviews), you grant UNI-T a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and promote that content on the platform.
9. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited on UNI-T: fraud, scams, or misrepresentation; soliciting or accepting payment outside the platform to avoid fees; posting content that is illegal, obscene, threatening, or discriminatory; using automated tools to interact with the platform without permission; violating the privacy of other users; engaging in any activity that interferes with the proper functioning of the platform. Violations may result in immediate termination and legal action where applicable.
10. Limitation of Liability
UNI-T is a marketplace platform and is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or completion of any services arranged through the platform. To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, UNI-T's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to UNI-T in the 3 months preceding the claim. UNI-T is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. UNI-T may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, suspected fraudulent activity, or for any other reason with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
